Red Fuji is a collective term for the coloring line Fuji selected from the bud (branch) changes of ordinary Fuji. Fuji apples were crossed in 1939 by the Morioka branch of the fruit tree testing ground of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, with Kunimitsu as the mother and marshal as the father.
